The Psychology of Brain

I basically have interest to know about our central processing unit, nothing but about BRAIN. Recently i have seen some research work done in Stanford University. Professor Krishna Shenoy is creating "brain-computer interfaces" that will enable paralyzed patients to control prosthetic arms and computer cursors. In this short talk, Shenoy describes how his team of Stanford researchers has built a system that achieves typing at 15 words-per-minute, just by "thinking about it"


Jennifer Raymond (Stanford University) is building a "wiring diagram" for the brain. By bridging the gap between individual synapses and whole-brain learning & memory, Raymond's research offers new insights and strategies for medical rehabilitation and K-12 education.


Stanford University's Brian Knutson is unraveling the mysteries of human desire with state-of-the-art medical imaging. Knutson's research sheds new light on how individuals make complex financial decisions, and offers new ways for alleviating schizophrenia.

My Finland Trip on 25th June

Sweden - As you all know, it is a cool place. Fortunately, It was a sunny day. We enjoyed it very much.

We started by 11AM from Ludvika, Sweden. We have reserved for the bust also to Stockholm



Reached Stockholm port by Evening 3:45 PM.
First time seeing a Cruise. It was really a wonderful experience.

Cruise crew received us to the Cabin. Our cabin number was 1081

There were 12 decks inside the Cruise. It is simply like a shopping mall inside the voyage.





First we came to the top deck(12 th floor) of the Cruise. Some Musicians, singers were entertaining the passengers.

We were seeing around the ship. The bottom 2 floors were reserved for Car parking.




In Sweden, we can see the sun till midnight in summer. It was very good to see the sun set while i was in the middle of the sea. I was roaming around till midnight. Then i went to my cabin and slept.



- 26th June 2010

9AM- We reached Finland. An announcement came from Cruise crew. I took bath in the cabin and started.

We bought ticket for a full day tram trip for 65 Euros. Our plan was to
roam in Tram. whenever we want, we can get down. First we went to Rock Temple.



We were going for shops and other amazement. It was really good. There was no time to check the place names and its history and all. But we visited most of the places.





We were finding beggars there also. But in different form.

Nearing 5'o clock - Cruise starts again by 5'o clock, So we were running to get into the Cruise



Some usual delights inside the cruise started. Dance, Disco, some different kind of plays. It was really a chance to see different kind of people :-) Sometimes we can able to see people who expressed their feeling without bartering about others For eg: Dancing Barathanatyam in disco stage.

We reached Stockholm by morning 9. We booked for bus to Ludvika.
Bus driver stopped in a motel for our Lunch. Here was our breaking
point.

We missed the bus. Frustration for some moments..........
We inquired one of a driver. They have taken us in their responsibility
and we 4 boarded in a separate bus. Plan was to catch our bus in the
middle of the way. But we couldn't. Finally the other bus driver
dropped us till Ludvika. They didn't charge even a single penny extra.
